Functions

launchDarklyProvider()

launchDarklyProvider(config): IdentityProvider

Defined in: index.ts:33

identity-core IdentityProvider for LaunchDarkly.

The vendor SDK's deprecated/removed alias-user method (see plan research table) is never called by this provider. The replacement is a multi-kind context sent on every identify() call: a device kind pre-login, and both user + device kinds together on login, which is how LaunchDarkly associates anonymous activity with the identified user instead of a separate merge/alias event.

Constructs its own ldClient internally via the peer SDK's initialize(clientSideId, context), lazily, on the first onAnonymous/onIdentify/onReset call — this is the more literal reading of Appendix A's LaunchDarklyProviderConfig, which takes a clientSideId rather than an already-constructed client instance.
